After the rain, came the glorious sunshine.

I shot Kristina + Julian’s engagement session on film, except for a handful of frames as the sun was about to set. Today, I’m shooting the second part of their session… on a sailboat! I can’t wait to share how everything turns out! Many thanks to Estancia Culinaria for welcoming us into their home and far exceeding any expectations we had. Truly amazing!

Getting to know Mari and David was definitely one of the highlights of 2011. They are two of the most down to Earth, genuine and joyful people I’ve ever met. Every time we got together, I saw more and more why they’re so perfect for each other. I got to hear so many stories about their journey so far as a couple and learn so much about their wonderful and loving families. By the time their big day rolled by {just a few days ago}, I felt as though it was one big case of deja-vu. Mari and David told Mike and I that we were VIP guests and they weren’t kidding. We had an amazing time! From the first email to their call the day after the wedding to thank us {yet again!}, I couldn’t have dreamt up a more perfect and thoughtful couple. I’ll always remember Mari’s fun and positive outlook, along with David’s warm smile and adorable nervousness right before the “first look”. They made it too easy. The cloudy skies and strong wind might have kept us from hanging out pool-side at the gorgeous Epic Hotel, but it didn’t keep their wedding day from being extraordinary and oh so beautiful. Here’s a tease…

Shoutout to the Epic Hotel for being so helpful and courteous… and for not locking the doors to the stairs {Haha!}. Also to 15:01 Studios for being one of the coolest videographers we’ve ever worked alongside of. I hope it happens again in the future!
