Whether you’re a bride/groom or a photographer, I really hope you can find the answers to all your questions right on here. If there’s something you’re still curious about, don’t hesitate to send me an email. I’m happy to meet with you {in person or over Skype} as well.
How much do you charge for wedding photography?
My collections start at $2400 for six hours. Please contact me at info@michellemarch.com for all the details.
Do your collections include all the photographs?
Yes, they do. You’ll be able to download all the high resolution digital files directly from your online gallery. You’ll be able to either keep the gallery private or you can share the link with your family and friends. You’ll also get printing rights which gives you the freedom of ordering prints/albums from me or from another source. Prints/albums ordered through me are high quality, professional grade and there are many options to suit any and all your needs.
Do you travel for portraits and weddings?
Yes, I love to! I’m available to shoot worldwide. Please contact me about special destination rates.
Aside from engagements and weddings, what else do you shoot?
I shoot a variety of portraits (boudoir, maternity, newborn, family) as well as commercial work. From time to time, I also collaborate with other vendors on styled shoots. If you’re a vendor and interested in working together, shoot me an email.
How would you describe your photography style and process?
There’s nothing I love more than planning and styling a portrait session. I’m so full of ideas and easily inspired by couples. I want each shoot to be dreamy, organic and personal. I want to capture the most romantic time of your lives and who you truly are together when the world isn’t watching. I’m involved in coming up with an idea/theme/story, perfect location, outfit, romantic and playful poses, etc. I often work with a hair/makeup artist as well as a planner/coordinator to secure locations, props and make sure that everything looks perfect so all my attention is on YOU.
I photograph weddings a bit differently because I truly want to tell the story. I want to be a fly on the wall capturing the day as it unfolds. I would want for someone that didnt attend the wedding to feel as though they were actually there when they flip through the pages of your album. Not only do I love to capture moments, but I take the time to get every detail so showcase all your hardwork. All the things that make your day so unique. After all, you worked really hard to make it all happen!
A compliment I receive over and over is that I’m an amazing storyteller… and that’s what I love to do.
Who is your ideal couple?
One thats in love and isnt afraid to show it. The couple that is open to ideas and willing to let go and have fun. I have a soft spot for couples that incorporate vintage touches and really personalize their big day. I want to work with couples that relate to me and my lifestyle. Head on over to my About page to learn more about me and see if we’re a good fit.
Why should we choose you?
I truly believe that there is a photographer out there for everyone. If you’re looking for someone that is passionate about what they do, is a romantic at heart and is full of ideas, I’m your girl. My work speaks for itself. I produce quality work and I’m there 100% of the way. Most of my work has been featured/published. I have a ton of excellent feedback on The Knot and Wedding Wire. I not only have plenty of experience, but I’m very knowledgable in all aspects of the wedding industry.
Aside from English, are you fluent in any other language?
Yes, Spanish. I can understand French, but I’m not even close to being fluent… yet!
What’s in your bag?
I shoot with a Canon 5DMII, Canon 1V, Contax 645 and a selection of prime lenses (mostly a Canon 85 1.2 for digital and a Carl Zeiss 2.0 for film).
What kind of film do you use? Where do you get it developed & scanned?
I mostly use Fuji 400H (I’ve played with Kodak Portra 400 as well) and I always send my film to the amazing and talented Richard Photo Lab.
How do you shoot?
Natural light plays a huge roll. I shoot in manual and wide open on prime lenses. I keep both my ISO and shutter speed low, so maximum light comes in. I focus on one thing and keep my contrast at a minimum.
Do you use flash?
Not usually, but in extreme cases I do. I’m a natural light photographer and prefer to capture everything the way I see it.
Will you be doing workshops?
If I find the time to do so, I would love to organize one in 2012 (Most likely in the summer or early fall).
How do you post-process your photos?
RPL takes care of my film work and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about them. As for digital, my photos look in camera very close to the way you see them here. I shoot raw and use Photoshop to warm the photos a tad bit and drag the exposure a little (to brighten it up even more). I use VSCO Film (to brighten up the green in my photos) and Red Leaf (to turn images to black & white) from time to time. That’s really it! Although I’ve had custom actions and LR presets made for me, I have a VERY hard time using them because I feel as though they make my photos look way too trendy/over processed. I try my best to find a balance between natural and a lil touch of the girly girl that I am. I’m an open book, so ask away!

My husband and I are going to Disney for our 1 year anniversary. I wanted to see how much you would charge for a session. I saw some cute ideas where a couple documented their 1,5,10 year anniversaries.. and had the pictures for each big anniversary to watch how they grew over the years.. Thought I’d try this out with our 1 year.
Thanks!
