The photographs you’re about to see are very dear to my heart. They’re of my best friend and her love. I had the privilege of being Muri’s Maid of Honor this past May and although I wasn’t able to tackle on both duties (Maid of Honor + very pregnant photographer – Mike kindly stepped in and captured their wedding), I wanted to do this for them. We had so much fun putting together her bouquet and then running around Vizcaya. Definitely a favorite of mine! I posted way more than I usually do. It’s so hard to choose when the subjects are people I can’t get enough of.
Our summer was pretty eventful (wedding – hers/ having a baby – me) and filled with pool days, coffee dates and lounging around – mostly talking about how much we will miss each other. You see, Muri and Mato moved to Belgium for six months. As much as it breaks my heart to have had to say goodbye, distance is our “thing” and somehow always makes our friendship that much stronger. Before Belgium, Muri and Mato spent some time in North Carolina while Mato went to law school at Duke. Before that? Scotland for three years. Muri and I don’t know if we’ll ever live in the same city again, but we always make the most of our summers together. Whether we’re crafting or having one too many lattes, it’s the loveliest time. Time I cherish when we’re so many miles apart.
Mike, Ollie, Joy, Rain, and I wish Muri + Mato much happiness as they kick off their life as a married couple. Hurry back!
Special thanks to my sister-in-law for graciously donating her top-notch talent. Muri looked like a princess!
