Inspiration: The sea at twilight

I really am going to miss the summer. Opportunities to make magic are at every glistening corner. There are times when the less you plan, the more things come together in an organic way that you never see coming. Desi, from Gigi Mamma Cakes, felt incredibly inspired and created this breathtaking cake that you’re about to see. Words truly can’t express its beauty. She contacted me that same day and asked if I would be willing to photograph it. I knew I had to capture it, but I wanted to do more than what seemed so simple. With the day almost coming to a close, I still wanted a challenge. I knew of the perfect spot and now I just needed my muse. I asked Desi if she would allow me to photograph her alongside her creation and she agreed. She came to my home, threw on my wedding dress and we headed out to this gorgeous spot close by. With just minutes before the sun disappeared, I was able to capture a few moments. We barely had any light and I was so pleased with how they turned out. Holding my breath, closing my eyes and praying as I hit the shutter definitely helped. Haha! Ah, how I love living so close to the sea and all its beauty. These are my favorites.
