In Love: Adeline and Erik in Central Park NYC

Right before summer began, we traveled to NYC to be photographed by a very dear friend of mine. We have plenty to celebrate in the month of June, so it was the perfect time for us to take a trip to the Big Apple and share that magical city with our little Oliver. It was Oliver’s first time on a plane and in the hustle and bustle of NYC, but he was such a pro! I was definitely way more exhausted at the end of each day than he was. Haha! I must mention that one of my greatest friends, Desi, came too! That girl is everything that is good in this world. She has such a big heart and the way she is with Oliver makes me melt. I, of course, had to take the opportunity to photograph everyone, including our wonderful hosts. Adeline and Erik welcomed us into their home and showed us around. Every day was an adventure and we’re so grateful! I honestly can’t say that enough. We got to see things and visit places that were so new to us. It was unlike any other NYC trip of mine. So special! I will share some of the photos I shot of Mike, Oliver and Desi while in NYC plus some of the photos that Adeline took of us soon (Yay!!), but for now enjoy these!

Tied the knot: Laudys + John at Rabbit Hollow in Orlando

There’s something to be said about great hospitality and just kindness in general. From the countless weddings we’ve shot through the years, we’ve experienced it all. Most of the time, we come across sweet and humble people who offer us food, drinks, a chair, anything and everything from the second we walk through the door. It’s the best and makes all the difference! That’s what it was like when we arrived at the lovely Rabbit Hollow and it meant so much to us.

Meet Laudys and John. Two of the most warm, humble and joyful people I’ve ever met. They welcomed Mike and I as if we were old childhood friends of theirs. Their beautiful smiles were contagious. They were up for any crazy idea I had and we had so much fun! Working with Peplum Events is always breath of fresh air. Jelli and her team are incredibly creative and unique. Total visionaries! That’s why they’re doing my own wedding (and I wouldn’t have it any other way!). As for the venue, Rabbit Hollow, it’s an absolute dream. I had never seen anything like it. Feast your eyes on this Art Deco meets country house wedding! It’s colorful, unexpected and perfect! Even with the bright sun high in the sky during the ceremony and beginning of the reception, I’m really happy with how it all turned out. My lab, Photovision, did a brilliant job – as usual!
