Nov 26Blackberry Woods Inspiration at Villa Woodbine
“Blackberry Woods” is the official name of the wedding inspiration shoot you’re about to see. Behind the scenes, however, it was known as the Vampire Diaries shoot. Haha! While I was pregnant, I spent any free time I had binge-watching TV shows on Netflix. I blame my swollen ankles and non-stop schedule. Once I started watching Vampire Diaries, I was immediately hooked and I was filled with ideas. I started a board on Pinterest, rounded up some of my favorite vendors from around the country and (with their help and loads of hard work) made it a reality. Magnolia Rouge Magazine featured it in their latest issue and we couldn’t be more excited and honored! Hochzeitswahn also featured it afterwards and I totally did the happy dance when I found out! Aside from being a photographer, I like to dip my feet into everything else wedding-related. Whether I come up with an overall concept or put together a bouquet (like I did for Muri and Mato’s post wedding session, which you can see here), I love expression.

Nov 23Truly Living
Where has the year gone? Oliver turned 5 months recently and every day with him is as amazing as they day he came into this world. He has taught us the meaning of being present and truly living. Each day is filled with learning and achievement, both personally and professionally. In the past year, I’ve learned so much more about who I am as a photographer and who and what I want to photograph. With growth, comes awareness and evolvement. I set out to pull inspiration together and, among many other things, worked on rebranding (with the amazing Meagan Tidwell). All will be unveiled soon! There’s already a peek on our Facebook page which you can visit by clicking here.
In the meantime, enjoy this stunning bouquet I captured this fall. The second I laid eyes on it, that was it. Hook, line and sinker! Just a glimpse from a shoot which will be featured on the amazing Style Me Pretty very soon.
